There are two different ways to render $\LaTeX$ on Jekyll, either using MathJaX or KaTeX. MathJaX is more popular and more powerful compared to KaTeX which is a relatively light-weight library. However, KaTeX is way faster than MathJaX and is recommended for posts with the large number of mathematic content.
